Our October event was an open-theme slam. We heard stories about overcoming a language barrier with a neighbor, working on a documentary that felt more like a horror movie, and lying to children. Our winner was Tina Bowers, who shared a story about a coworker who showed great kindness.

Tina won an exclusive York Story Slam-branded journal from our friends at Story Supply Co and earned the final spot in our Grand Slam in November. Tina (right) is pictured here with York Story Slam producer JJ Sheffer.

Tickets are on sale now for our Grand Slam on November 17 at the Appell Center.
